4. Common issues
The app does not open or freezes
Try closing the application completely and opening it again. If the problem continues, restart your device and make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.
The camera does not start
Make sure the app has permission to use the camera. You can check camera permission in your device settings. If permission is disabled, enable it and open PulseTorch again.
The measurement shows 0 BPM or low signal quality
Make sure your fingertip fully covers the rear camera and flashlight area. Hold your finger still and do not press too hard. Try measuring while sitting calmly and repeat the measurement after a short break.
The result changes between measurements
PulseTorch provides approximate wellness measurements. Results may vary depending on camera quality, lighting, finger movement, skin contact, phone model and measurement stability.
The camera preview is dark
The preview may become dark or red when your finger covers the camera. This is expected during measurement. If the preview stays black before covering the camera, check camera permission or restart the app.
5. Accounts and login
PulseTorch does not require creating an account or logging in. The app is designed to work locally on the user’s device.
6. Privacy
PulseTorch does not require users to provide personal information such as name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or health profile information.
Camera data is processed locally on the device during measurement. The app does not save photos, videos or camera frames and does not upload camera data to any server.
