Your privacy is very important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when using the PulseTorch application and how we protect user privacy.
1. What data do we collect?
The application does not collect any personal data from users. We do not gather, store, sell, or process any information that could identify the user.
2. Heart rate measurement and health-related data
PulseTorch uses the device camera and flashlight to estimate pulse-related values when the user places a finger over the rear camera.
The application may calculate and display approximate values such as:
- heart rate / pulse estimate
- signal quality
- recovery estimate
- load estimate
- calm / arousal estimate
- rhythm and stability descriptions
- measurement summary and tips
These values are processed exclusively locally on the user’s device. They are not uploaded to any server, stored online, transmitted over the internet, or shared with third parties.
PulseTorch does not store camera images or video recordings. The camera preview is used only during the measurement to analyze brightness changes from the user’s fingertip.
The application is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or monitoring of any medical condition.
3. User preferences
The application may store basic preferences locally on the device, such as:
- selected app language
- interface preferences
These preferences are stored only on the user’s device and are not sent to us or to any third party.
4. Ads and analytics
The application:
- does not display ads,
- does not use analytics tools,
- does not integrate third-party tracking services,
- does not track users.
5. App permissions
PulseTorch requires access to the device camera in order to perform pulse estimation. The flashlight may also be used during measurement to illuminate the fingertip.
The application may request the following permissions:
- Camera – required to read brightness changes from the fingertip during measurement.
- Flashlight / torch – used to illuminate the fingertip during measurement, if available.
The application does not access:
- contacts
- microphone
- location
- files
- photos or media library
- messages
- or any other unrelated system data
6. Camera data
Camera data is processed only temporarily while the measurement is active. PulseTorch does not save photos, videos, or camera frames. The application only analyzes brightness changes needed to estimate pulse-related values.
When the measurement ends, the camera is stopped and no camera data is retained by the application.
7. Sharing data with third parties
The application does not share any personal data with third parties, because it does not collect any personal data.
8. Security
All measurement processing is performed locally on the device. The application does not transmit measurement data over the internet, minimizing the risk of data interception or external data breaches.
9. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any new version will be published with an updated date.
10. Children’s privacy
The application is not specifically intended for children and does not knowingly collect any data from minors.
